Privacy Policy
The short version: Our apps keep your data on your own device — no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no trackers — and anything you create in them stays with you. The one exception is this website's contact form: if you choose to send us a message, we collect what you submit, plus basic request metadata, solely to read your inquiry and reply. We don't sell or share it, and we don't use it for marketing.
1. Who This Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes the privacy practices of Mount Sanitas Software LLC ("Mount Sanitas," "we," "us," or "our"), a Colorado limited liability company, with respect to the mobile and desktop applications we publish (each, an "App") and the website at mountsanitas.com (the "Site," and together with the Apps, the "Services").
This Policy applies only to the Services we control. It does not apply to any third-party platform, operating system, device, app store, network, or service through which you obtain or run our Apps, each of which is governed by its own privacy policy and is outside our control. By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy.
2. Information We Collect
Through our Apps: nothing. Our Apps have no accounts and no login, and they do not collect, request, require, receive, or retain personal information. We have designed them so that we have no access to your data in the first place.
Through the contact form on this Site: when you submit the contact form on mountsanitas.com, we collect the information you choose to provide — your name, email address, and message — together with basic technical metadata about the request, namely the IP address it was sent from and your browser's user-agent string.
- Purpose. We use this information solely to receive, understand, and respond to your inquiry, and to keep a record of our correspondence. The IP address and user-agent are retained to help us detect and prevent spam and abuse of the form.
- No marketing, no sale or sharing. We do not use contact-form information for advertising or marketing, we do not add you to any mailing list, and we do not sell or share it as those terms are defined under applicable privacy laws. Mount Sanitas Software LLC is the controller of this information.
- Retention. We keep an inquiry only as long as needed to handle it and for a reasonable business-records period afterward, then delete it.
Beyond the name, email, and message you choose to submit through the contact form, we do not collect any of the following through the Services:
- Phone numbers, mailing addresses, or contact details you have not chosen to send us;
- Account credentials, usernames, or passwords (our Apps have no accounts and no login);
- Payment, billing, or financial information;
- Precise or coarse geolocation data;
- Contacts, photos, calendars, files, messages, or other content from your device;
- Advertising identifiers (e.g., IDFA/AAID) or fingerprinting signals;
- Usage analytics, behavioral data, or telemetry;
- Diagnostic, performance, or crash-reporting data sent to us;
- Cookies, web beacons, pixels, or similar tracking technologies on the Site.
3. Your App Data Stays on Your Device
Some Apps let you create or store content (for example, notes, lists, settings, or preferences) so the App can function. Any such content is stored locally on your device and, where applicable, in storage you control (such as your own device backup or personal cloud account managed by your operating system). It is not transmitted to Mount Sanitas, and we have no ability to access, read, view, or recover it. If you delete an App or its data from your device, that data is gone; because we never held a copy, we cannot restore it.
4. No Tracking, Analytics, or Advertising
We do not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, attribution SDKs, social media trackers, or cross-app/cross-site tracking of any kind. We do not build profiles of you, and we do not engage in any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as those terms are defined under applicable privacy laws. The contact form is a plain HTML form that posts directly to us; it sets no cookies and loads no third-party scripts, fonts, or images.
5. Third-Party Platforms
You may download our Apps from third-party app stores (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play) and run them on third-party operating systems and devices. Those platforms may independently collect information from you — such as download records, device data, purchase history, or diagnostics — under their own privacy policies, over which we have no control and for which we are not responsible. We encourage you to review their policies, including Apple and Google.
6. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). Please do not submit a child's personal information through the contact form. If you believe a child has sent us information through the form, contact us at the address below and we will delete it.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Privacy laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (CCPA/CPRA), and the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA) grant rights to access, correct, delete, and restrict the processing of personal data, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We honor these rights in full. For anything you have sent us through the contact form, you may request access to it, correction of it, or its deletion by emailing us at the address in Section 13, and we will act on your request. For everything else, there is nothing for us to access, disclose, correct, or delete, because our Apps do not collect personal data and we do not sell or share any personal information. You remain in complete control of data stored locally by an App, which you may delete at any time from your device.
8. Data Security
Our Apps transmit no personal information to us, so there is no central store of App data for us to lose or expose. Contact-form inquiries are stored server-side in a database on our own infrastructure, with access restricted to Mount Sanitas and transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect, retain it only as long as needed, and restrict who can reach it. Data you keep on your device is protected by your device's own security controls, which we recommend you keep enabled and up to date.
9. International Users
The Services are operated from the United States. Aside from any information you choose to send through the contact form, we do not collect or transfer personal information. If you contact us from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and consent to your inquiry being processed and stored in the United States.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Services or for legal, regulatory, or operational reasons. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date above and post the updated Policy at this URL. Material changes will be reflected here, and your continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mount Sanitas Software LLC and its members, managers, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Services or this Policy, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in this Policy limits any rights you may have that cannot lawfully be limited.
12. Governing Law and Severability
This Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of or relating to this Policy shall be the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If any provision of this Policy is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
